Hi guys and welcome to JaggaJagga.com - the first dedicated website for online electronic auditions.
This is a platform for Directors and Actors. Unlike other sites we don't prescribe to time delays and inconvenience. A director/producer simply finds an actor or actors using our search filters and requests for an audition from them with sides from script and a description of what he/she wants. The actor receives the request and then responds with a video or audio audition that is sent to the requester, ALL within this site! Viola!
The idea came about when my friends and I wanted to make a short film before the deadline for a film festival. The casting process was long and arduous, and audition locations were at a premium. With no money and no time we needed actors ASAP. No service provided an immediate solution. We managed to choose some actors from a list of pictures and resumes. However neither the pictures nor the resumes reflected what we wanted when the actors - some of them from several miles away - arrived for auditions. Then my friends and now partners created JaggaJagga.com. (We're still paying off the web designer with our night jobs. Damn we hate working at fast food restaurants)
We are like you or probably even worse off. Why so cheap? Why is it $1.50 per month, some may ask. We initially wanted it to be free; however we realized we had to pay for the upkeep of the site. So 70 percent goes to the site. The rest goes to the web masters.(Come on guys these web masters need to eat too - and some even have kids).
A large amount of the income goes to you guys - the community of JaggaJagga. This is your home, your site. You vote for a community leader, he or she then conveys any message or concerns you guys have to us. Nominate your videos for best performance. Trade information and advice with your fellow actors. It’s not always what you know but who you know.
